36 Weeks
Just 4 more weeks to go mama! You are so close to meeting your baby! Speaking from experience, I know how uncomfortable it can be to be THIS pregnant, but hang in there!
Baby is making his or her final preparations to make their big debut!Â
Baby In Action at 36 Weeks
Chances are by this time, your baby is head down. Meaning you may be able to breathe easier, but you may also be feeling more pressure down there.
Baby is also gaining weight at a steady rate of about an ounce per day.
Baby is also starting to create meconium. This is the black tar-like substance that will be found in his or her first dirty diaper. This happens as a result of swallowing the vernix caseosa as well as other substances. But don’t worry- the tar-like poops won’t last long!
Baby Size at 36 Weeks
Your baby now weighs anywhere from 5 1/2 to 6 poounds! Your baby is the size of a head of romaine lettuce.
Your Body at 36 Weeks
Here are a few symptoms women most commonly experience during 36 weeks of pregnancy:
Pelvix Pressure: This happens as a result of baby “dropping”
Hip Pain: The ligaments in your body are loosening in order to prepare for delivery! One more sign that the big day is coming!
Shortness of Breath: Baby may have already dropped but if not, you may still be experiencing trouble taking a deep breath. Not for long though! Â
Decreased appetite: this is normal as labor approaches. Try eating smaller meals at more frequent intervals.Â
