Gift ideas for toddlers

It’s the most WONDERFUL time of the year! There is nothing more magical than kids at Christmas time and I am SO ready to get to celebrating!

Emmy turned two this year and toddler-life is in full swing in our household. She’s enjoying coloring and her creativity is really showing. She’s also got a great imagination and enjoys cooking, cleaning and “going to work” just like daddy. She spends a lot of her day in imaginative play and it is SO fun to watch. We also love watching her little brain grow. She’s soaking everything around her up and we are working to foster as much growth as possible.

Can you see why shopping for a toddler can be a fun time? There are so many areas of their life that are blossoming full force and there are so many great toys out there for them!

If you have a smaller baby at home, be sure to check out our Baby’s First Christmas Gift Guide here.

Before we jump into the goods, I also wanted to share a fun way we are doing Christmas lists this year. A mother in my local Facebook mom’s group shared this and I LOVED it so I created a fun little printable for it! She referred to it as the “minimalist” Christmas list, but I was attracted to it more for the sense of balance; it keeps everything from just being toy, toys and more toys!

Feel free to use the print out below. It’s 8.5×11 size so it prints out great!

A minimalist guide to Christmas lists: 4 categories of gifts, 4 gifts per category!

Here’s our list of top toys for toddlers!

Kitchen helper Stand for toddlers who love to be in the kitchen with mom and dad!

Kitchen Helper Stand. While this is technically not a toy, I speak from experience when I say it provides to many hours of fun! We purchased Emmy’s kitchen stand when she was around 17 months old. We have used it almost every single day since! We selected this kitchen stand over others because it is able to fold up and stored away easily. It comes in 5 colors and can be purchased here.
