Thanksgiving is a wonderful time for some themed activities for your toddlers. As with many activities, these Thanksgiving activities for toddlers are a great way to help your child develop their skills while also having fun. Most of these can be completed with craft supplies you likely already have at home. However, many do call for some festive colored feathers, which you can find here on Amazon!
This activity from My Life of Travels and Adventures would look so cute on the fridge for the month of November! Of course, someone would have to help with the footprint, but from there, let your toddler add the wings (you could even use real feathers!), eyes and feet!
Chances are, this activity could be made with items already in your house and outside your house as well! A leaf wreath made by simply gluing on leaves to a paper plate cut into a circle. Image via Events to Celebrate.
This activity incorporated counting as well. Roll the dice and feed the turkey the amount of acorns that it tells you to! So creative! This activity would be fun with multiple kids as well. Image via Fun Learning for Kids.
Turkey color matching craft from I Heart Crafty Things is technically two crafts in one! First, the kids can enjoy making the turkey with all of it’s different colored wings, then from there, bring in the color matching activity!
Feed the Turkey. Another amazing activity from Busy Toddler! Seriously, if you don’t follow them on Pinterest, you should! They always have such amazing ideas! I love that this activity incorporates fine motor skills into a fun Thanksgiving Activity.
Teach Beside Me gets extra points this Thanksgiving for coming up with an energy burning activity for toddlers! You just need clothes pins and some feathers clipped onto clothes and a wide open space to run and you’ve got a game of Turkey Tag!
I Heart Arts n’ Crafts is another one of my favorite blogs to follow. This activity is so simple, yet so effective when it comes to helping kiddos learn to match their colors! Follow along with them on Pinterest for more great ideas.
