Your Body at 26 Weeks

Here are some of the common pregnancy symptoms you may be experiencing at 26 weeks pregnant:

Swelling: This is due to the increase blood flow in your body. A normal amount of swelling can be normal, but if you are concerned, contact your OB. Extreme swelling can me a sign of preeclampsia.

Weight Gain: At this point, you should have gained anywhere from 15 to 22 pounds. More details here on how much you should be gaining throughout your pregnany.

Bleeding Gums: Thanks to what is referred to as “pregnancy gingivitis”. The hormonal changes in your body  make your gums more sensitive to plaque. This is a big reason good dental care is so important during pregnancy! Be sure to make an appointment with your dentist if you have not already!

The class is taught by a lactation counselor who seriously knows her stuff. You can check out the course curriculum here.
