Photo Ideas for Baby’s First Christmas

While the holidays are a special time in itself, it makes it so much more special to celebrate alongside your baby.  Capturing their first Christmas through creative and cute photos may seem like a challenging tasks, but it doesn’t have to be! Here are a few good tips when it comes to capturing photos of your little one’s during the holidays:

-If your baby is still in the newborn stage, turn up the heat in the home, have a sound machine nearby and feed baby just prior to taking photos. This will help them stay asleep while you have time to get creative and snap some sweet, sleepy shots.

-Get low! Notice that many of the photos below are taken straight on, now from a parent’s height looking down. The camera should be at baby’s eye level.

-If you baby has reached the sitting and smiling stage and you want to capture some gummy grins, turn on some Christmas music (or any music for that matter!). Show off some of your dance moves and be cheery! If baby sees mom dancing and smiling, he or she is likely to do the same.

This post is full of great tips on how to take great pictures in general, not just Christmas. (how to get best lighting, blurred background, etc)
