Homemade Yogurt Melts for Baby

Homemade Yogurt Melts for Baby

Yogurt has always been one of Emmy’s favorite foods. Just about any flavor with any mix in’s and she is guaranteed to eat it.

This is a fun twist of the usually serving in a bowl.

If by any chance you have a freeze dryer, that would be the way to go to make these.

I’m not too fancy with my kitchen gadgets so I had to do it the old-fashioned way with just my regular old freezer.

You simply fill a zip lock bag with your kiddos choice of yogurt. If you would like to add any additional fruits, you can do so by placing them in a blender with the yogurt until puree.

A little bit of yogurt goes a long way. Start with just 1/3 of a cup and add from there. You’ll be surprise how many melts you end up with!

Cut a small tip in one of the corner to mimic a piping bag. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and slowly begin creating little dots.

I used a tool usually reserved for icing cupcakes but it did the job perfectly!

One you have filled your cooking sheet, simply place them in the freezer for at least 2 hours.

Once they are frozen, you can place them in an air tight container and keep in the freezer. I can’t vouch for how long you can leave them in there…I’ve never made a batch that has lasted more than 10 days due to the high demand for them!

Enjoy!
