At 24 weeks, you are rounding out your second trimester and are nearing the third trimester of your pregnancy.

You are only 16 weeks away from meeting you bundle of joy! 

Baby is growing at a great rate, adding about 6 ounces to their size each week. Baby also has white hair, eyelashes and eyebrows. The pigment that gives the hair it’s color has yet to come in. But it will soon! 

Baby is currently weighing in around a 1 1/4 pounds and is about 11.5 inches in length. Baby is the size of an ear of corn!

Around 24 weeks, you will complete you Glucose Screening. Let’s be honest about it for a second. It isn’t the most enjoyable experience, but it’s necessary to make sure mama and baby are safe.

Here’s the details on how the screening works: The Glucose challenge screening is to test mamas blood sugar levels to see if you are at risk for gestenial diabetes.

Research is not definitive on why some woman get gestational diabetes and others do not.
